Hui Min's Farewell Dinner...

A week ago, invitation cards were personally delivered by Ronald and Hui Min:

Last night was the night. I attended Hui Min's farewell dinner held at The Brewers Arms in Merivale. Had a more relaxing atmostphere than a formal one. I actually made a conscious effort to arrive on time after being hassled the whole day by Mark and Hock. Bleh! So after wrapping the present, I only had 20 minutes to shower, change, make-up and leave the house. I even had to pick up Mark and Nik along the way and still made it on time (at least according to the clock in my car la)! So bleh to both of you! Wahahaha! *PaTs HeRSeLf oN tHe BaCk*! :)

The guests of honour arrived late (as usual... :þ~) but they were forgiven as it wasn't their fault that their passenger was drunk and didn't pick up her phone. Uh huh! Luckily it wasn't someone in the group otherwise they'd never hear the end of it. So we finally filled up all the seats at 8:00pm when the waiter came round to take our orders.

There were 22 of us (I think) so it took sometime, especially when most of us down our end wanted to custom make our orders, including me as it turned out to be better value. Hehe! What did I eat? Lamb, pork, venison and prawn skewer with sweet chilli sauce and garlic butter for the sauces and fresh vegetables and potatoes for the sides. $27.00 for stone grill. Not bad. Although, I personally prefer the stone grill at Tap Room. Don't know why. However, there are more choices at The Brewers Arms, offering rare meats like kangaroo, ostrich, and venison on top of the usual, beef, pork, chicken, lamb, scallops, prawns, etc.

Check out my meal... *YuM* *YuM*!

Just a few photos from last night of us entertaining ourselves... Keke~

Hui Min opening her present from us... Nice and PINK! :þ~

We didn't really know what to get her... but we figured, if she ever missed us or felt home sick, she could grab the pillow and hug it and hopefully feel comforted! Good thinking? Hope so lo...

Farewell kiss from Nik and Mark... and then their Jap style of taking photographs~ *fAiNt*!

Those who attended... (Photo taken by a very drunk someone)

For dessert, we had a delicious cake from Copenhagen. The last time I ate a cake from there was for my 21st birthday! OMG! Been so long... *YuM* *YuM*!!

Following dessert, a few of us headed outside to check out the surrounding area of the restaurant. There was quite a nice pond but I couldn't capture it on my camera as it was too dark. :P Notice the people through the window who were too lazy to come out with us, namely Sheila, Hui Min and Ronald! Lazy bums~ Haha!

After leaving the restaurant, some of us went back to Ronald's house to chill out. At around 1:00am, a few of us went to the Casino to try and win back the money spent on dinner. Well, I think that was Yang's thinking anyway. Hehe! Talking about Yang... check out this photo of him I came across on Facebook when I was looking through a few of our ex-classmates profiles. Haha!

Gerald a.k.a. Yang... when he was 12 years old. How cute!! :þ~

Haha!! He'll kill me if he knew I put it up on my blog and he thought me placing it on my MSN was bad. Wahahaha!!

Back to last night... After Casino, five of us - Hui Min, Ronald, Mark, Nik & I went to Coyote at 2:20am! Haha! It was really random but after sitting at Diamond Bar and listening to the music, us girls suddenly felt the urge to go clubbing! Haha! So off we went. It wasn't too bad although the music really sucked towards the end of the night. We went to Denny's to eat a quick supper and finally arrived home at 5:00am. All of us realised, one of the worse feelings you can have is to walk out of a place and hear birds chirping cuz you know you've stayed out way too late! Haha!!

Although the weather today was really nice, I decided to stay home the whole day. Not that I woke up late or anything, just wanted to have a quiet day indoors and sort some stuff out. Will be heading out to badminton soon. Yes, UCBC badminton is on tonight... See you all at St Thomas tonight - 7:30pm onwards? :)
